Rip van Sizzle

Since my last post I closed my eyes for a brief moment &, when I opened them, it was weeks later. Family & the foofah's of life have conspired with my constant physical malaise to keep me away from the Wordox tables. What happened in the world while I was gone? Hmmmm.....let's see.

Pavarotti died after a long life of glorious consumption, glorious accolades & glorious music, not a bad way to go. Lucky Lucianno. And lucky those of us who got to hear him.

Evil Dick has not yet been evicted from the Big Brother 8 house, despite his psychotic behavior & embarrassment to his one & only daughter. He is not only still in residence, he appears to be the reigning king of the house. I do believe this is the first BB where the "mature" male housemate is not made to appear absolutely foolish, then asked to leave rather early. They let Chicken George hang around longer because he kept making an ass of himself, but eventually he was hurled out onto the pavement & back into the arms of his mortified family.

While I slept, Wordox seems to have chugged along. My new sleeping habits often have me awake while the "decent folk" are up, instead of my usual nocturnal hours, so I discovered the fun 8am game in Oxfest that Heranim has running. Groovy little group.

I may have to actually spend some time at WordSteal. From his blog, I see that Perrin the Crow is making enemies there & he might be at the stage where the natives are circling around him with war clubs, threatening to whack his beak off. Coming, partner. I still have not played a game there, but I'm always up for a good lobby brawl.

Synergy has been a little quiet lately because a certain TD (moi) has been slacking off. This evening at 11pm I will resume my hosting duties. I have cleared out family, boyfriend, neighbors & all other interlopers. I have also ordered the malaise away for at least 48 hours. I'll be at the tables & I will be loaded for bear.....if I can stay awake.
